Private Riverside Camp
New in 2006, we've gone "GREEN" with a Brand New State of the Art 6,000 Watt Solar system that powers the entire property & campground!

New in 2007, we've added a FREE Public Access Wi-Fi Hotspot for those who just can't seem to let go...it wasn't easy to set up, but we're hoping that some of you will appreciate it!

New in 2008 is a Secondary Lower Parking Lot, an improved/expanded Upper Parking Lot, general facility improvements and added campground spaces with inground sprinkler systems to keep things green!

The campground was originally built in 1996 and is located at the half way point of the South Fork river, our 6.5 acre campground has towering pines, oaks, and a crystal clear mountain river. Our camping is "drive in" with a short walk to the campsites.

One thing that we are very proud of is that we are the only privately owned/operated campground on the American river w/NO other raft companies on our property. We don't allow General Public Camping or send our guests to Public-Accessible campgrounds. Only Gold Rush Guests get to stay here! This also allowed us to build permanent building structures with real bathrooms, commercial kitchen and a Multimedia Stage area. More importantly it makes for a less crowded, more personal camping experience and allows us to help customize your trip needs.

Of course everybody says that they have the best campground, so we happily invite you to stop by anytime just to see our facilities in person. Feel free to stop any staff member to show you around or ask any questions.

Gold Rush has a modern bathhouse, an actual building (1200sq. ft.) with 8 hot showers, 8 flush toilets, and dressing rooms. Nothing feels as good as a hot shower after a day on the river to complete the experience. The Women's side even has a "Makeup Counter" w/adjustable mirrors!

We have plenty of room for our exclusive use, with special facilities including at least one picnic table per campsite, with volleyball, horseshoes, ping pong, gold panning, and fishing along the river.

About half the campsites are grassy and all are level for sleeping. Some campsites have personal BBQ pits as well as one large BBQ pit for bigger groups. We offer the choice of riverside camping or hillside camping (view of the river).

New in 2004, a Dolby Digital® Outdoor Theater system w/a DLP Projection setup designed for computer presentation, movies and satellite TV, for those of who just can't let go of the outside world. We even have over 700 hundred movie titles to choose from!

With town so close, it's easy to pick up things that you may have forgotten to bring. We are just a short three minute drive to our local town of Coloma with market, gas, restaurants, and Bars. Be sure to visit what might just be the best bakery around, Sierra Rizing!

Unfortunately we have a NO PETS policy (our lawyers said so) even though we ourselves love our pets very much...so that means to leave your dogs, cats, iguanas, birds, reptiles, amphibians, or anything that crawls, walks, flies, slithers, hobbles, hops, jumps, swaggers, waddles, rolls, swims, etc. AT HOME!!! Sorrrry...
